The Cook Community Classic is an annual community event held in November at Cronulla. An open ocean swim and competitive surf carnival between the four Bate Bay Surf Clubs is run and accompanied by a community carival in the surrounding park areas. The community carnival not only presents various entertainment, food, and local music, but it also provides local community organisations with the opportunity to reach out to the wider community for support. Jacaranda Cottage has featured at the Cook Community Classic for the last few years. At our tent we aim to create awareness of youth homelessness in the shire and explain how members of the community can help us continue this vital service to young women in the Shire. One easy way to contribute has been to puchase our yummy cupcakes on the day as all proceeds go to Jacaranda!
